Peranan Orang Tua Tunggal dalam Pertumbuhan Iman Remaja Usia 13-15 Tahun di Gereja Holy Glory Makassar

Abstract

This research is part of the Community Service (PKM) program conducted at the Holy Glory Church in Makassar, focusing on the role of single parents in the faith development of adolescents aged 13–15 years. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, seminars, and workshops. The results of the study indicate that adolescents from single-parent families face emotional challenges, identity crises, and limited spiritual role models. However, with faith-based parenting strategies, family prayer habits, and church support, they can still grow spiritually. This PKM program also demonstrates that collaboration between theological institutions, local churches, and congregational communities is crucial for strengthening the role of single parents in spiritually nurturing children.
